Faces of DUAL: Meet Henry Hill, Construction Underwriter

Today, we're shining a spotlight on Henry Hill, a young and dynamic Construction Underwriter at DUAL UK. Henry has been with DUAL for three and a half years and is known for his commitment to supporting brokers and bringing fresh energy to the team. Let’s dive into his journey at DUAL!

Q: Can you introduce yourself and your role at DUAL?

Hi, I'm Henry Hill, I'm an Underwriter in the Construction Engineering team. I have been at DUAL for the last three and a half years.

Q: What excites you about working at DUAL?

I think everyone says the same thing. I like the fact that no two days are the same, especially with construction. We're always trying to bring out new products to support our brokers, so it always keeps you on your toes.

Q: What is a typical day-to-day risk you and your team write?

We write standard construction risks along with allied trades, however, we're here to trade with our brokers, so if there's a story behind the claim, we're here to listen whilst others may not.

Q: What risk would you be keen to write?

Our most target trades I'd say are ground workers, commercial fit-out contractors, and property developers. We can offer a variety of cover at competitive premiums for those, but I'd say the key to our success is more of the fact we have a trading relationship between us as an MGA and with our brokers.

Q: Describe working at DUAL in three words.

I'd say life here at DUAL in three words would probably be supportive, collaborative, and empowering.

Q: What opportunities are available for brokers to connect with your team?

We like to go out and see our brokers, especially some of our key relationships. We also attend a lot of other broker events such as MGAA and BIBA. Personally, I like hosting our own events. Things like Ascot, Haydock races, and in the summer, playing a bit of golf.
